Woodburn Forest Series Race 1

On Tuesday 10th May, four Larne Athletic Club runners took part in the first race of this year’s Woodburn Forest Series. Measuring 3 miles, the route included a fast downhill start, a circuit of the reservoir and a tough climb on the gravel path to the finish.

A regular competitor at Woodburn, Jordan Heron got off to a great start in the series, finishing second behind race winner Mark McKinstry in a time of 16:30. Andy Gregg was next for Larne in 22nd place with a time of 20:45 while Paul Tilson finished 40th in 22:35 and Sinead-Marie McAllister finished 49th in a time of 23:20. The second race at Woodburn is on Tuesday 17th May.
