On the 26th May two Larne AC runners took on the 6th race in the Hill & Dale Series which was ‘Lukes’ a 7km 500m race starting from Meelmore Lodge, a straight up start towards Slievenaglogh onto the top and across to Luke’s with a real “wacky races” decent through peatbog that was waist deep, hidden holes & rocks nearly every step throwing you somewhere new from side ways to bum slides.

Out of 188 runners, Bryan Magee finished 76th in a time of 51.12 9th MV50. Whilst Sinead finished 111th in a time of 58.46 4th in FO. A really fun race.

Both Larne AC members also took part the previous week in the 5th Hill & Dales race which was on 19th May ‘ Rocky’ 7km 500m. With a real long start of a shuffle up hill that seemed to go on forever and then lots of ups and downs of a course. Out of 205 runners, Bryan finished 88th 46.26 8th MV50. Whilst Sinead finished 141st 52.59 out of 205 9th in FO.
