On the 9th June two Larne ac members headed to Newcastle for the 8th race and the toughest Loughshannagh and 8km and over 800m of climbing. First and the only runner home was Bryan Magee finishing 71st out of 183 in a time of one hour and coming 7th in mv50. Sinead unfortunately had her first DNF in a race due to injury after a car accident on the way home from Hill & Dales the week before.

On the 16th June two Larne ac members took part in the penultimate race of the Hill and Dale series. Race 9 was ‘Meels’ a 7km over 700m of climbing taking in Spellack Cairn Meelmore and Meelbeg before dropping back down. Out of 158 runners, Bryan Magee was first home in 49th in a time of 56:40 4th in mv50. Sinead finished 106th 5th in fo in a time of 1:06.
