On Sunday 21st November 5 members of Larne AC travelled to the Billy Neil PF to race in the McKeag Cup and the Comber Cup.
Ballydrain Harriers deserve huge credit for organising such a great event so well marshalled with very informative volunteers adding to the enjoyment of the day.
The course was very well thought out, undulating with some challenging climbs and tricky corners which added to the interest keeping the brain engaged.
First up for the Club in the McKeag Cup was Julianne Keane putting in a great performance in a strong field of 141 ladies Julianne finished a very respectable 88th place (12th in her age category) in 30:16.
In the Comber Cup LAC had a team of 4 men racing against a field of 205 runners. First home for the Club with a excellent run was Martan Keane finishing 77th (20th in his age category) in 34:39, followed by Gerry Campbell finishing 107th (13th in his age category) in 36:29, then Sean McAllister finishing 138th (12th in his age category) in 38:25, then Emmett Woods finishing 170th (16th in his age category) in 41:08.
Well done all, great effort and times all round on a very enjoyable day out for the Club.
