Thursday the 14th April saw the first race of the Hill and Dales Series. Taking place in the hilly Castlewellan Forest Park this was a tough 8km race with 400m (1200ft) of climbing.

In very humid but dry conditions Larne AC member Sinead-Marie McAllister took on the mud and the midges to finish in a superb time of 52.21 coming in at 156th out of a field of 230 athletes, 6th in female open category.

Well done Sinead who is looking forward to next Thursday evening challenge which is to be held at Tollymore Forest Park.
