On a cold bright Sunday afternoon four members of Larne AC travelled the short distance up the A8 to take part in the Mallusk Cross Country, a very popular event organised by Mallusk Harriers.

In a field of 174 finishers one female member participated, Sinead McAllister put in a great shift to finish the tough 6km course in 30:40 93rd position.

There was 190 finishers in this 5 mile race, a race which attracts all the top runners in our local running community, which makes the results of our three members all the more creditable.

Alan Lockington was first home for the Club after his excellent result yesterday a 7 sec PB in Larne Parkrun, Alan put in a great strong performance to finish 104th in a time of 34:52, closely followed by our veteran XC runner Andy Gregg 107th in 35:06 with Gerry Campbell completing our LAC male team finishing 108th in 35:12.
