On Sunday 2nd October, Sean McAllister and Thomas Tosh Craig represented the club at the Mary Peters Running Festival in the 20-mile race.

This event took place at the Maze Long Kesh Site in Lisburn (Eikon Centre) where there was also a 5k, 10k, half marathon and full marathon.

Both runners started the race in the grounds of the Eikon Centre, followed by 2 loops on local undulating roads and back to the venue for the final 5k.

Thomas had a strong run finishing in 10th position overall with a time of 2hr 23mins. Sean followed with a great run, finishing in 22nd position and winning his VET 55 age category in a time of 2hr 41mins.

Sean also finished the day off with meeting Ciara Mageean – well done lads!
