Parkrun Round-up 13/08/2022

Larne Parkrun

On a humid Saturday morning seven members of Larne AC took part in the local Parkrun.

Jordan Heron continued his dominance of this event by completing the 5K challenging but scenic route in a magnificent 17:18 first overall and only one second of his PB of 17:17 for this event. Alan Lockington on route to getting back to full fitness was second home for the Club and second overall in a superb time of 21:12. Third for the Club and first female home was Sinead-Marie McAllister changed the trail shoes to road shoes to finish 8th overall with a great top 10 finish in 24:36. Thompson Crawford was next returning after injury in 18th position in 26:55, Ian Brennan hot on Thompsons heels came in in 19th position in a time of 27:07. Paul Magill had another steady run finishing 24th in 27:56. Irene Beattie volunteering as Tail Runner completed the LAC contingent finishing in 42:24

Six Mile Water Parkrun

Making the short distance up the road to Ballyclare three members competed in this event.

John Steele was first home for the Club and 1st overall in a great time of 20:15 made all the impressive as John took a wrong turn and had to backtrack his run to the correct route. Pearl Henry was second for the Club and first lady home in 34th position in a great time of 32:03. Sandy Plumb who is partaking in the Clubs “Back To Running” programme was third for the Club and 44th overall in a time of 35:15.

Ayr Parkrun

Parkrun Tourists

On Sat 13th Aug the Craig family stopped by Ayr Parkrun on their travels. With the girls on toe Thomas Tosh Craig had a great run finishing in a time of 25:05 while Kerrianne Craig followed finishing with a time of 30:45.

The course was very scenic being on trail paths in Rozelle Park, and attracted 120 runners 🏃‍♀️
